While it has been officially confirmed that the events of Thor: The Dark World will have ramifications in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. show, it’s yet to be announced what other Marvel movies, if any, will have an effect on the show. Could Captain America‘s next outing bolster the tail end of the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
Well, rumor has it that, yes, it will.
This is something that I’d just assumed would be happening, what with the ratings for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. steadily declining since the pilot episode. Also, considering the fact that Thor’s connection has already been officially confirmed, it almost wouldn’t make sense to not include the Star-Spangled Avenger, especially considering that S.H.I.E.L.D. is supposed to play such a major role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Now, this isn’t official, and while we surely don’t know to what form this continuation will take, it would be a pretty safe bet that it’ll happen, considering the movie’s April 4th release date would fit nicely in with the shows schedule. Throw in that the show itself is born from the aftermath of The Avengers, and I don’t know how this doesn’t happen. Hell, this could potentially set the show’s season toward its finale, and, even though this is still just a rumor, could be Marvel’s way of getting people to tune in.
