November 23rd is less than two weeks away, and in these 11 days leading to the Doctor Who 50th anniversary we here at Nerd Bastard’s want to share with you a few of our favorite Whovian things. The 50th anniversary special, “The Day of the Doctor” is now ten days away! Which is why the adorable little Whovian above is wearing her finest Tenth Doctor cosplay.
This young cosplayer extraordinaire is Katie, Todd Kent‘s two year old daughter who’s already made a name for herself with such stellar Halloween costumes as all the Avengers and every color of Lantern. In celebration of Doctor Who‘s golden anniversary Todd decided Katie should dress as every single Doctor, from William Hartnell’s checkered pants and frock coat, to Tom Baker’s scarf, and, of course, Matt Smith’s suspenders and bow tie.
What really kills me about Katie’s costumes, besides how unbelievable adorable she is, is how accurate they are! Katie and Todd could give any adult Doctor Who cosplayer a run for their money. Just look at her Sixth Doctor cosplay. That’s no easy costume to make, even in miniature! And how about their attention to detail? While dressed as the Second Doctor she’s got a recorder, as the Third she’s in a car, and even her hairstyles are coordinated to fit the more severe looks of the First and Ninth Doctors.
Of all those “let’s see what nerdy thing I can dress my kid up as” costumes, Katie’s the best. We’ve a got a true Whovian in the making here, let’s hope come the series’ 100th anniversary she decides to cosplay as all the Doctors again, no matter how many!
Plus, I love how like Matt she looks when she’s running as the Eleventh Doctor. She nailed it!
