Marvel *OFFICIALLY* Confirms Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen for ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’
Rumors, no more. It’s been long speculated that Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson were up for the roles of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, respectively, and Samuel L. Jackson even let it slip that Olsen would be in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. More recently, Olsen and Taylor-Johnson both confirmed their involvement, but today, we’ve got official confirmation from Marvel.
Marvel sent out a release this morning, confirming both Taylor-Johnson and Olsen in their roles, even though we already knew. So, if you were waiting for it to be OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL, here you go.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen have officially joined the Avengers family as the brother-sister duo of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, the highly-anticipated sequel to 2012’s smash-hit Marvel’s The Avengers! Avengers: Age of Ultron arrives in theaters May 1, 2015.
Well, that’s about it for this one. Of course, we’d all have much preferred to get confirmation on something that we didn’t already know for a fact, but hey, where’s the fun in that? The movie is still over a year and a half away, but this is hopefully a sign that bits of information are going to start trickling out about the much anticipated sequel.
