As most Avengers 2 watchers probably know by now, the new installment of the franchise, Avengers: Age of Ultron officially confirmed the presence of Elizabeth Olsen in the role of Scarlet Witch. And now that they’ve put the news out in the public forum, Olsen is allowed to actually talk about it. Which is exactly what she did. Check out some of what Olsen had to say below.
When speaking with Moviefone, the new Scarlet Witch had some insight to share with all the fans:
“I hung out with Mr. Whedon recently. I’m really excited about this movie. I’m so excited about Scarlet Witch. I have had so much fun reading all about her and I am like learning new words that I had to look up on Wikipedia. I’m really enjoying it.
“I just love Scarlet Witch. I love her. It’s so funny because I’m often talking about all these psychologically damaged people, but when you talk about Scarlet Witch… She is a messed up lady. She has got more sh*t to deal with than anybody else I know. I’m excited to figure out what’s appropriate to use for her, because there’s so much material from all of these decades, and we’re going to tell this one story. So to be able to choose what you’re going to bring into it from all of this abundance, it’s really fun.”
Sounds like she’s really pumped about the project. Whether you think that she’s the best actress for the role or not, you can’t deny that Olsen looks to be putting everything she has into creating the best possible incarnation she’s capable of. Now all we have to do is wait around another two years to see how it all turns out.

And thanks to ComingSoon for the heads-up.
