Word around the Internet water cooler is that Arnold Schwarzenegger and director Alan Taylor have been looking to cast the new Sarah Connor for Terminator 5 before moving on to cast the male roles. There are three actresses rumored to be in the hunt. Which would you choose?
The first up is Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones). That’s right, Daenerys Targaryen is said to be one of the top choices, but of course you say, “It is known Kalessi.” She’d make a great choices for a younger Sarah Conner. She’s shown her acting talent in Game of Thrones, bringing a tough exterior to Daenerys, yet still maintaining a level of personal emotional vulnerability in the character that draws the audience into her circle .
Next up is Brie Larson (The Spectacular Now), she can pull off that girl-next-door with the best of them (21 Jump Street). I’m not sure about her in a more action oriented role, but truth to tell, the Sarah Connor character probably won’t be that toughened, trained character we came to know in Terminator 2.
Last, but not least is Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black). She’s got an impressive list of steady credits on IMDB and has the acting chops needed for the role. Her Work in Orphan Black is top-notch.
Any of these three would most likely do a fine job with the role, but which would you choose if you were in the seat next to Arnold? Have you got any thoughts about casting the male roles of John Connor and Kyle Reese?
