Though we may not know too much about what the upcoming World of Warcraft movie entails as far as plot goes, rest assured that the powers-that-be are busy behind the scenes making sure all the puzzle pieces fit. This week’s news on the big screen WoW involves a bit of casting.
And the new entries into the World of Warcraft arena are…
Contestant #1: Dominic Cooper. You may recognize him as Daddy Stark from the Captain America movie, but he’s also been in such amazing flicks as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Mamma Mia! and… some other stuff.
Contestant #2: Ben Foster. The highlights of Foster’s career range from the underrated horror film Pandorum to 3:10 to Yuma and he even took on the role of Angel in that disaster of a third X-Men film. And after taking on the role of none-other-than Lance Armstrong in an upcoming biopic, he’ll be moving over to World of Warcraft.
Contestant #3: Rob Kazinsky. Probably the first place you’ll know him from is the God-knows-why-it’s-popular TV series, True Blood. But he also did a long stint on the UK’s EastEnders as well as a couple of other things.
Contestant #4: Toby Kebbell. This guy’s done work on Wrath of the Titans, Prince of Persia and a bunch of other miscellaneous crap.
So what roles shall they be playing? Couldn’t say, chief. Nobody’s telling us nothing yet, but we promise to keep our ears to the ground and let you in on more plot and casting details as they arrive.
If everything stays on schedule, expect the World of Warcraft movie to be hitting theaters on March 11, 2016. Yeah, it’s a long fkn time to wait, but we know you will.
Thanks to Firstshowing for the heads-up.
