There’s some more news out on the Terminator 5 front. Nope, it’s not another Sarah Connor casting tid-bit or who the new John Connor/Kyle Reese might be. This time around it’s all about the title. Word around the Internet water cooler is that Arnold, director Alan Taylor, and the other creative powers that be involved in Terminator 5 have settled on a production name for the movie. Could it make the cut to the big screen?
Terminator: Genesis is what the production is going to use for the time being. Will this make it through all the shooting and post production to remain the movie’s title on the big screen? The name does have some real appeal. It captures a feeling of renewal without that reboot feeling.
Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) are still working on the script, how the title Terminator: Genesis might work into that is up in the air at the moment. If that does end up as the final title, they’ve got to throw in some kind of Phil Collins cameo in there.
Terminator 5 hits theater screens on July 2nd, 2015.
