Once more into (or was it “unto”?) the breach, dear readers:

Bleeding Cool has it on the authority of “two dependable voices” (whatever the devil THAT’s supposed to mean) that Jack O’Connell–a young British actor best known for starring in This Is England, Harry Brown, and Tower Block, and will play a supporting role in next year’s 300: Rise of an Empire–is under consideration for a “key” role in Star Wars: Episode VII.

But then again, I expect any day to learn that I’M up for a role in Ep. 7…
(more after the jump)

Rumors regarding auditions for Episode VII roles have included names like Saoirse Ronan, Michael B. Jordan, and Chiwetel Ejiofor–to name a few. But very little official info regarding casting has been made available.

As far as O’Connell goes, he seems to be a likeable young actor whose popularity is growing–we’ll next see him on the big screen playing opposite Angelina Jolie in the Louis Zamperini biopic Unbroken (which would impress me a LOT more if I knew who the heck Louis Zamperini is)

Be back with more Ep. 7 dirt soon–that is, if I’m not auditioning to play a background alien for a bar scene.
