Thus far, this season of Arrow is awesome. The show’s found a firmer footing in its second season, stopped wasting our time on so many “villain of the week” episodes, and is crafting an interesting spin on classic DC Comics lore. As we eagerly await the series’ return on January 15th, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg is spreading the good word about whether or not The Flash will be coming back to Starling City, and just who is Nyssa al Ghul.
Michael Ausiello, TV Line‘s go-to man for spoilers, chatted with Kreisberg and asked him about what’s happening with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and episode 20 of Arrow since it’s no longer serving as a backdoor pilot for The Flash series,
What happened in Central City at the end of [the fall finale] was certainly big news. Right now, we’re focusing hard on writing the Flash pilot and breaking the rest of the season of Arrow. But hopefully there will be some synchronicity between the two [shows], in anticipation of getting to see more of Grant [Gustin] and The Flash.
Ausiello mentions Kreisberg stops just short of revealing whether or not Barry will come back to Arrow this season, but I’m betting Starling City hasn’t seen the last of The Flash. Or the first for that matter since Barry’s life-altering accident only happened at the very end of Arrow‘s mid-season finale.

Over at TV Guide, Natalie Abrams caught up with Kreisberg and got from him the scoop of the upcoming appearance of Nyssa al Ghul, the other daughter of Ra’s and sister to Talia.
She’s the next wave of the League of Assassins that comes to Starling City. She’s certainly exotic, beautiful and smart. She has some interesting secrets as well.
Interesting note, the actress playing Nyssa, Katrina Law, shared the screen with fellow Arrow star, Manu Bennet, when they both were in Starz’s Spartacus. And as for those secrets she’ll have, I’m sure those will tie into her impressive lineage as we learn even more about the League of Assassins. Nyssa makes her Arrow debut in the 13th episode, airing on February 15th, “Heir to the Demon”.
