Even before Marvel or Disney could release an official announcement, the British Board of Film Classification, that’s the British version of the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) Film Rating System, has gone ahead and posted the entire list of special features in the upcoming Thor: The Dark World DVD/Blu-ray.

Here’s the list:

  • ALL HAIL THE KING – A MARVEL ONE-SHOT
  • A BROTHERS JOURNEY – THOR & LOKI (PART 1)
  • A BROTHERS JOURNEY – THOR & LOKI (PART 2)
  • EXCLUSIVE LOOK – CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
  • SCORING THOR: THE DARK WORLD WITH BRYAN TYLER
  • DELETED & EXTENDED SCENES: EXTENDED CELEBRATION SCENE
  • DELETED & EXTENDED SCENES: JANE LEARNS ABOUT THE AETHER
  • DELETED & EXTENDED SCENES: LOKI: THE FIRST AVENGER
  • DELETED & EXTENDED SCENES: THOR AND FRIGGA DISCUSS LOKI
  • DELETED & EXTENDED SCENES: DARK ELVES PREPARE FOR BATTLE
  • DELETED & EXTENDED SCENES: EXTENDED VANAHEIM SCENE

  • JANE LEARNS ABOUT THE AETHER COMMENTARY BY ALAN TAYLOR & KRAMER MOREGENTHAU

  • GAG REEL
  • THOR THE DARK WORLD AUDIO COMMENTARY

Could this be the super secret special shoot that Ben Kingsley teased us about a couple of weeks ago? My gut says it is more likely a short showing how Loki took out Odin at the end of the film.

Before anyone starts screaming about spoilers, who in their right mind, who has not seen the movie yet, would click on a post about the details of the DVD release materials? Seriously . . .

That exclusive look at Captain America: The Winter Soldier might be interesting. Perhaps we’ll get that posted to the Internet before the movie premieres.

Personally, the Loki: The First Avenger commentary by Tom Hiddleston is what I would put money on as being the breakout special addition to the DVD. Anything that guy touches is gold on the Internet. He’s like some kind of Internet Willy Wonka with the “Golden Click-It”.

Anything else pop out at you in the list?
