Because we know that our readers can not be happy without their weekly dose of unsubstantiated rumors concerning upcoming super hero flicks, we here at Nerd Bastards bring to you the latest batch of maybes concerning DC’s Batman vs. Superman. And while most of this is probably complete rubbish, we still encourage you to read on and see what you think about what other people are whispering behind closed doors.
Courtesy of the hard work from the folks at Batman-On-Film, we have the following rumormill news to report:
Despite the continual addition of characters, the movie will indeed be a Superman flick – they’re not trying to morph it into Justice League without telling us. Batman and Wonder Woman (and whoever else pops up) will be there, but only to emphasize the journey of the Man of Steel. So they won’t have huge amounts of screen time.
Lex Luthor will be the main evil-bad-guy. He will also have help from at least one other super villain, though who that other villain will be is still unknown. Best bets are on Doomsday.
The writers are tying in Wonder Woman’s origins to those of Superman. The rumor is that the Amazonian race shall be descendants of the Kryptonians that landed on Earth thousands of years ago (via the crashed ship in Man of Steel). Thus, WW will be strong but, after thousands of years, will have adapted to become a bit more human and thus not be flying around and shooting lasers from her eyes.
And that’s the end of today’s rumors. Enjoy them or curse them as you will. And let us know what you think about the possibilities.
Thanks to CinemaBlend for the heads-up.
