Well, we may have hit the jackpot with this one, should this turn out to be 100% true, but a fairly reliable source is claiming they have the skinny on the casting of Lex Luthor for the upcoming Batman vs. Superman flick. And it turns out it’s someone that we’ve all been routing for – Bryan Cranston.
The news comes from John Campea’s YouTube page via one of their shows, Amasian News. They claim to have an inside source that says Cranston is officially onboard (and getting a shitload of money for doing it). Though no word has come from the powers-that-be, if they’re right about this we’re likely to hear something very soon. They also have some info on what the new version of Batman will look like. Check out the video below and see what you think:
UPDATE – It looks like Amasian News may have jumped the gun a bit. Wow, Internet, will you ever stop teasing me? On behalf of his team, John Campea posted a clarification on his Internet page:
So yesterday (while I was in Las Vegas) the amazing team at TEAM AMASIAN (one member just happens to me my wife) had also heard from a source that Cranston was going to be Luthor and proceeded to make a video pronouncing that it was “CONFIRMED” that Cranston was going to play Luthor… but they are new to this and mistakenly said that the rumor was “CONFIRMED”. Let me be very very very very very very very clear here… it is NOT confirmed. At this point it is a rumor being propelled on by certain sources that are NOT proven and thus I would not qualify them as “reliable” yet. This isn’t to say that it isn’t true… but that it should not be taken as “fact” yet (if ever at all). It isn’t CONFIRMED until Zack Snyder or WB officially announce it.
Despite all this, I’m still holding on to the hope that they were correct.

Thanks to Amasian News for having their ears to the ground.
