EDITORS NOTE: In partnership with Youtube personality Kelly Carlton (aka F’N Pryde), we bring you another weekly installment of badass, foul mouthed comic book reviews. So without further ado here’s F’N Pryde with her weekly comic book rundown. It’s ”Pryde’s Picks!”
With movie rumors flying rampant on the internet, it’s hard to know what is in store for some of my favorite franchises. The idea of simplifying Wonder Woman‘s origin may make sense on paper but elicits much fury in the hearts of true fans. Some are saying Chris Evans’ diva-like attitude might have Marvel wanting to replace him after Captain America: The Winter Solder (bullshit). I’m just happy these outrageous rumors are purely speculative at the moment. But enough of all that, let’s talk comics. This week, Marvel is really dropping the ball with their Marvel Point One book. The idea of investing $5.99 for a preview book makes my blood boil. DC runs hot and cold this week with good and bad short tales in Batman Detective Comic‘s Annual #27. Thank god we can count on Image to bring us a bit of suspense and drama with an all new The Walking Dead.
As always, if you’re easily offended tread carefully. Pryde’s Picks is full of boisterous inappropriate humor and way too much geek rage.
This week features: All New X-Factor #1 Marvel NOW Point One #1 Avengers World #1 Black Widow #1 Ultimate Spider-Man (Cataclysm) #3 The Ultimates Last Stand (Cataclysm) #3 Batman Superman #7 Batman Detective Comics #27 The Walking Dead #119
