Even the craziest odds makers in Vegas wouldn’t take a bet about Micheal Keaton getting asked about Beetlejuice 2 in just about every RoboCop reboot publicity interview he’ll do this opening week. It’s what they call a “Sure Thing,” but we still want to hear him talk about the possibilities.

On a scale of Ghostbusters 3 ever happening being a 10, I’d put Beetlejuice 2 at around an eight. It could happen, but mainly because, those we would all want involved in the project, aren’t really doing anything else they feel is all that important at the moment.

So is Keaton down with going dead once again?

I’ve e-mailed Tim a couple of times, talked to the writer a couple of times, but all really, really preliminary stuff. I always said that’s the one thing I’d like to do again, if I ever did anything again. But it kind of required Tim to be involved some way or another.

IS Tim Burton involved yet?

Now it looks like he is involved, and without giving too much away we’ve talked to each other, and e-mailed each other, and if he’s in, it’s going to be hard not to be in.

Keaton dances around Burton’s current involvement, almost like he wants to confirm it, but also doesn’t want to be the guy that said it. Perhaps he’s hoping that once the Internet gets excited, Burton will take that last step into the Beetlejuice 2 ring.

We already know that Winona Ryder would be on-board, and Seth Grahame-Smith has been reportedly working on the script the last couple of years.

When there is some ink drying on contracts we’ll bring it to you. Until then, take a look at the video below and enjoy it for what it truly is, an actor fondly remembering the past, and wistfully thinking of the future.
