[EDITORS NOTE: In partnership with Youtube personality Kelly Carlton (aka F’N Pryde), we bring you another weekly installment of badass, foul mouthed comic book reviews. So without further ado here’s F’N Pryde with her weekly comic book rundown. It’s Pryde’s Picks!]
Happy belated Valentine’s Day everyone! I can’t believe I’m going to say this but DC Comics won me over this week. Marvel NOW! just seems to be a gross re-numbering of their books to get people to pick up imaginary issue #1’s. DC really treated me like a lady this holiday and I plan on returning the favor…
Despite my blatantly biased opinion of Wolverine & the X-Men, I could not give this week’s Toad-centric book a pass. Choking down She-Hulk was like watching a boring old episode of Ally McBeal. Luckily, Marvel gave me “The Trial of Jean Grey” and almost put itself back in my good graces. DC dangled a tasty morsel over me with a glimpse into Batman Eternal and completely fed my inner glutton with a gratuitous fight scene between two super-couples.
As always, if you’re easily offended tread carefully. Pryde’s Picks is full of boisterous inappropriate humor and way too much geek rage.
This week features: Superior Spider-Man #27.Now, X-Force #1, She-Hulk #1, Wolverine & the X-Men #41, All New X-Men #23, Batman #28, Superman/Wonder Woman #5, and The Walking Dead #121.
