While some have already condemned Ben Affleck‘s portrayal of Batman, and others have come around to the idea, all Bat-fans have been curious about what the new costume design will look like in Batman Vs. Superman. If this latest rumor is to be believed, it won’t be long until we can all rejoice/outrage over Batman’s new look.
We’ve heard what Kevin Smith, Jennifer Garner, and Matt Damon think of the suit, but we still have no real idea what to expect when it comes to this incarnation of Batman and his costume, other than the rumored padded, black and grey look.
Apparently, we we’re just a few days away from seeing it for ourselves. According to the tweets of Mark Hughes, a blogger for Forbes, Batman’s new look was to be revealed in the new couple weeks, but has now been pushed back.
The delay in start of filming might push it back a tad, but I’m hearing it may drop as originally planned in next 10 to 12 days.
He then tweeted an update, saying that the reveal was pushed back due to the delay in filming, but clarified, “That’s not confirmed, but I trust the info…” We still don’t have anything resembling a set reveal date, but he did note that the already much anticipated unveiling “sounds like it’ll be bigger and cooler than previously thought,” which I guess is comforting.
Everyone seems to be speculating that they’ll show fans the costume for the first time in March, which should be big news for many of us who are still on the fence about this movie. If the new suit is really as awesome as everyone in the know is saying, I think they’d be doing themselves a favor by releasing it sooner rather than later. With such polarizing news coming out of the film’s pre-production, like Jesse Eisenberg being cast as Lex Luther, we really need something to believe in with the Man of Steel sequel.
So, Nerd Readers, what do you think? Will a kick-ass reveal of the new Bat-suit restore your faith in this movie? Let us know, and be sure to check back for all of your Batman Vs. Superman related news!
