Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ABOVE: In honor of their 1 year wedding anniversary, Sam Balcomb and his wife Kimi released this incredible Skyrim inspired wedding photo. I usually find most nerdy wedding photos a bit overdone but this is AWESOME. [Kotaku]
A Crowded Coop is releasing a series of Star Trek gear that will make any nerd happy. There are a few different styles, but this sleek grey style with Star Trek’s iconic red, blue and gold colors is my favorite. These were announced at the 2014 Toy Fair, check out our coverage of the event to see what other awesome toys you didn’t know you needed.
Father’s Day is a few months away, which means there’s plenty of time to save up some serious money for these 14k white gold and diamond LEGO cufflinks by Paul Michael Designs.
This is one of the most on point Game of Thrones cosplays you will ever see! The Cersei one is particularly beautiful, but they are all great. Check out GeekxGirls to see the photoshoot by CAF Photographer.
I am an adult. An adult who loves papercrafts and these Star Wars papercrafts are adorkable! If these guys, made by Behance user Momot, don’t make you say “awwwww” then there’s something wrong with you. See more pictures and a cute video at Geeks Are Sexy.
Shut up and take my money – and also my first born and anything else you want! This corsets, made by Andrew Kanounov, are more than stunning. There are no words for how gorgeous and intricate these are! Perfection. [io9]
Ever been at a loss as to what video game to play? Well, there’s a flowchart for that! See the full thing at Geekologie.
This is one of those things that is both cool and creepy. It’s “sensory fiction” or as I like to call it “books that feel you up,” because that’s exactly what they do. This “book” comes in 2 parts, the actual book and then a wearable harness that has heating, vibrating (insert jokes here) and other features that help you to experience what the characters in the book experience.
