Don’t expect HBO to let up on the barrage of Game of Thrones material anytime soon. The series returns on Sunday April 6th which makes March the longest month of the year! To help build anticipation – and a sense of dread – here’s a bevy of new characters posters, the official Season 4 poster (which is totally creepy!), and a few teasers featuring the Stark, Lannister, and Targaryen factions.
Man, that three-eyed crow is creepy, isn’t he? While I don’t imagine we’ll get any real details on just who he is and what it means for Bran, but we will see him, Hodor and the Reeds continue traveling into uncharted territory. Both geographically and metaphorically.
Errebody gets a poster!
Considering the death toll of Season 3, there are still quite a few returning faces this season. Having said that, I see quite a few faces in the above gallery that won’t be around much longer, but, y’know, spoilers.
In addition the slew of posters, there’s also a short teaser for each of the rival families: Stark, Lannister, and Targaryen.
These three families will remain the power players going forward, but new families like the Tyrells and Martells will begin gaining ground this season. And you can kind of see why since the Starks are now more divided than ever, the Lannisters are facing enemies at every turn, and out east Daenerys is having problems with her unruly, growing dragons.
Game of Thrones returns April 6th on HBO at 9pm. What are you most looking forward to this season? (But please, mark your spoilers.) Until then, Valar Morghulis.
