‘Heroes’ Pasdar to Play ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Talbot

If you loved seeing Lorelei and Lady Sif duke it out on last night’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., not to mention the parade of other Marvel Comics characters that have been brought to life on the show weekly, then you’re going to love this news. Adrian Pasdar, best known for playing the flying Congressman Nathan Petrelli on NBC’s Heroes, is joining another heroic universe in what might be a less than heroic role. Pasdar has been cast in the ABC series as Glenn Talbot, and if you know who that is, then you might start sweating if you’re a certain green-colored Avenger.

Or you might not. In comic book lore, Talbot is the right hand man of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, AKA: Javert to Hulk’s Jean Valjean. Not only did Talbot help Ross chase the Hulk around the globe, he also found out that Hulk was Bruce Banner and married Betty Ross for added levels of dickishness. Talbot’s is currently KIA in the comics, but he has appeared on screen before in the person of Josh Lucas in Ang Lee‘s Hulk.

Pasdar, who’s pictured above with the telltale mustache, has so far only been engaged for one episode of S.H.I.E.L.D., and it’s probably somewhat unlikely that he’s appearing to ask Coulson if he’s heard from Banner lately. So what’s the deal with Talbot now? Don’t know, but when we find out we’ll let you know.

Or you could keep watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Huh? Huh? …..crickets…..
