After learning that Scarlett Johansson was expecting her first child, I’m sure many of our Nerd Bastard readers began wondering how this might impact the filming for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, which has only recently begun production. As it turns out, there may not be many changes to the filming schedules or delays as we had originally thought.
While ScarJo is apparently hesitant to confirm the pregnancy, she did confirm that everything will stay “exactly on schedule,” and that there will be no delays. She even mentions that she’s doing stunt training!
Everything for Avengers 2 — we’re full steam ahead. We start shooting in three weeks and I’m stunt training and we’re good to go. You know, I think it’s something that is [laughing] hard to talk about, exactly. You know, trying to skirt around your question exactly [laughs] — and, you know, doing a poor job of it. But, you know, like I said, everything is exactly on schedule […] [Laughs] Everything is going just fine. The Black Widow always wins and will continue to.
I don’t think she would lie about everything being on schedule just to keep from confirming her pregnancy, so, whether she is or not, it doesn’t look like there will be any hiccups in the upcoming shooting process. One has to wonder, though, if the possible rumored Black Widow solo film will be pushed off, should the rumors be true.
