EDITORS NOTE: In partnership with Youtube personality Kelly Carlton (aka F’N Pryde), we bring you another weekly installment of badass, foul mouthed comic book reviews. So without further ado here’s F’N Pryde with her weekly comic book rundown. It’s ”Pryde’s Picks!”
This week, Marvel has been putting in overtime pushing out all these #1s and I feel like I’m doing the same. Somehow, while frantically editing, I realized I left a flub in this week’s PP. I guess I’ve just been preoccupied with my class reunion at Neptune High. Last night, I was out WAY too late attending a showing of Veronica Mars at one of the only two theaters playing it in South Florida. The movie wasn’t life changing and mostly predictable but I did enjoy the cameos of every single character I ever loved. I know, you guys came here for comic book rage so lets get this thing started… Marvel overwhelmed all of us this week with way too many titles we didn’t need like Wolverine and Secret Avengers but they did find a way to tickle my sweet spot with titles like Superior Spider-Man and All New X-Men. DC surprised me by showing us a book where Batman doesn’t save the day. Meanwhile, Kirkman takes The Walking Dead down a dead end road. As always, if you’re easily offended tread carefully. Pryde’s Picks is full of boisterous inappropriate humor and way too much geek rage.
This week features: Fantastic 4 #2 All New X-Men #24 Wolverine #3 Superior Spider-Man #29 Secret Avengers #1 Deadpool #1 Captain Marvel #1 Batman #29 Superman/Wonder Woman #6 Steampunk Red Riding Hood #1 The Walking Dead #123
