In the wake of last night’s Assembling a Universe documentary– which showed us the makings of what promises to be an epic battle between The Hulk and The Hulkbuster— we now have more details on what could be following that opening scene of The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Apparently, when Joss Whedon and his crew head to South Korea later this month, they’ll be filming “chase scenes,” centered around the film’s namesake villain, Ultron, and will lead to a battle in which the evil robot “[lays] parts of the city to waste.”
In addition to news on this filming location, next month will be the beginning of principle photography in some UK woodlands. What are they searching for? A place for a major battle between “three or four principal actors.” If there’s one thing that’s certain, this outing looks to have the team doing some globetrotting, as they have yet to do filming in the usual New York setting; although, I’m sure we’ll get there, with talk of The Avenger’s Tower showing up.
So, will The Avengers just be chasing Ultron around the world? Will they be following his trail of destruction? Or will the villain be chasing a member of the team for something he needs to complete his dastardly mission? Let us know what you think, and check back later, as new details seem to roll in constantly.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to premiere on May 1st, 2015, starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader.
