XMen3-51R

You might have missed it when, late last night, the last X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer hit the Internet. I have to admit I missed it, but then again, I never stay on a trailer once the credits start to roll. That’s where one eagle eyed fan saw Anna Paquin‘s name. Wait… didn’t director Bryan Singer say she was cut out of the movie?

We got teased about her role with that Empire Magazine variant cover:

Then Bryan Singer announced that regrettably the scene with Paquin had to be cut.

Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.

Then last night the latest trailer credits had this:

xmen title

There she is bright as day, although she did not appear in the trailer footage. Buzzfeed noticed and made a couple of calls. The got in touch with an un-named rep who said:

Essentially, [it’s] a cameo.

So there it is, Anna Paquin is back in X-Men: Days of Future Past. They already paid her, why not stick her in there for fans and get their money’s worth?

Could this also mean that her character will appear in X-Men: Apocalypse?
