The voice casting for Disney‘s upcoming Animated/CGI movie of Marvel‘s Big Hero 6 keeps chugging along with the addition of SNL‘s comedienne Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids). No word on what character she’ll be voicing yet, but…… we can expect her to bring her enormous comedic talents to bear on whatever role she takes.
The only officially announced roles that are cast include:
T. J. Miller (Silicon Valley):
With Jamie Chung (Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, Sucker Punch):
As Go Go Tomago:
Now unless Rudolph is playing a secondary character, which is unlikely, or a villain, which may or may not be the case, the conservative money is banking on her voicing the only remaining female character of Big Hero 6, Honey Lemon:
Lemon Honey’s powers come from her Power Purse. No, I am not making that up, it’s right there in the comic. Think of it as a bag of holding that has anything she might need at any given moment. Reach in pull out just the thing to help the team.
If Rudolph is Honey Lemon, that just leaves the rest of the team that are known at one time or another to be members of Big Hero 6: The Silver Samurai, Baymax, Ebon Samurai, Hiro, Sunfire, Sunpyre, and Wasabi No-Ginger to be cast.
The creative team of Chris Williams (Bolt) and Don Hall (Winnie the Pooh) will co-direct Big Hero 6 and you can get a peek at the animation style in the video clip below.
Big Hero 6 centers on Hiro, a young inventor who, after losing his big brother, mends his broken heart through the relationship he forms with his robot pal, Baymax. However, when Hiro’s latest invention, micro-bots, falls into the wrong hands, he must dive deep into the San Fransokyo underworld with the help of his ”group of not-so-superheroes.”
Big Hero 6 hits theaters screens November 7th, later this year.
