days of future past

A while back, the folks at Fox organized a promotion to hype the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. This promotion involved Empire Magazine and 25 bloody different covers, each one depicting one of the DoFP characters. And while nobody in their right mind went out and bought all 25 covers (at least I would hope not…), I’m sure Empire was happily enjoying an increase in their magazine sales. Now, 23 of those covers have made the transition from magazine to something that people might actually save to their computer screen. Hit the jump to see them all.

While I wouldn’t mind having an Ian McKellen/Patrick Stewart character art on my desk top, I think I’d have to skip the rest. Still, I’m sure that the two incarnations of Wolverine will be popular enough to justify this marketing move.

In the end, DoFP is one of the most expensive movies ever made and they seriously need to make their money back, so you can kinda understand the focus on every available marketing tactic. What do the Nerd Readers have to say about it? Getting tired of DoFP marketing spam? Or are this the character art you were looking for?

Check out X-Men: Days of Future Past when it hits the big screen on May 23rd.
