ABOVE: Hasbro just revealed two new Marvel Comic-Con exclusive action figures sets based on stories for The Thanos Imperative and The Infinity Gauntlet. The Infinity Gauntlet action figure pack will retail for $74.99 and include 3.75-inch figures of Thanos (with his Infinity Gauntlet), Nebula, Starfox, and Mistress Death. Oh yeah, it also comes with a wearable foam Infinity Gauntlet. The Thanos Imperative figures are part of the Marvel Legends Infinite Series 6-inch line ($99.99) and includes Star-Lord, Medusa, Gladiator, and Blastaar from the Guardians of the Galaxy along with the Inhumans’ Black Bolt in special-edition Galactus Engine packaging. I’m hoping this is a continuing series of Sci-Fi Cribs that focuses on another Sci-Fi franchise each time. What franchise would you like to see the homes of? [GAS]
On the one hand, I find this hysterical, but on the other I kind of worry that this might not just be a funny joke. Although I want to see adult stories told in the Star Wars Universe, I don’t want to see some version of JackAss/Star Wars. Gary Whitta, who’s doing the first Star Wars spin-off movie rants about the Disney Jedi Training Academy. I totally agree with him that adults should be able to do the Jedi Training event.
