There’s a new, extended television spot making the Internet rounds for James Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy featuring never before seen footage and another song off Pete Quill/Starlord’s (Chris Pratt) mix tape, Check it out.
Gunn is sprinkling in a mix of 70’s and 80’s music throughout the film using Peter Quill/Starlord’s mix tape of Earth music. That tape is the one thing that helps Quill stay in touch with his roots, where he came from and who he is. The first trailer featured Hooked on a Feeling, which quickly skyrocketed to the top of Itunes download list. This time around it’s The Runaways Cherry bomb. Will it enjoy the same GOTG effect?
I can’t wait to hear the whole compilation tape, what other songs do you think might be on it?
Time to check out the new TV spot!
Gunn continues to push all the right buttons with his musical choices. I can’t wait to see the whole movie and see how Gunn fits all the pieces together. The music so far has fit right into the Guardians of the Galaxy‘s misfit group of anti-social heroes, screaming loud and looking for a fight.
There was a lot of new stuff to see in there and Gunn sure does like showing people zipping up their outfits, *Cough *Cough, green boobies.
Best line of the whole TV spot?
That would make a nice nerdy stocking stuffer this Christmas. I’m sure there will be plenty of Guardians of the Galaxy‘s merchandise around the tree this year.
In case you missed it, ET has a new Guardians of the Galaxy featurette that is making its way around the Internet. Take a look:
Wow… Those ET anchors really don’t have a clue do they? Sexy Raccoon…Really? That’s the best you can do? I still can’t believe that ET gets such get footage and access while they know nothing about the material. This video has to be the worst Guardians of the Galaxy press I have seen. I wonder if James Gunn felt a slap on the back of his head when this first aired? It’s not even a good “convince the mom’s of America to take their kid to this movie” fluff piece. It’s fluffier than a poodle straight from the groomer.
Arrghh… is it wrong that I just want to punch one of those ET anchors, or the show’s writers smack in the face?
