If there’s been an overriding theme to all the trailers and videos relating to the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie so far, it’s been that Megan Fox doesn’t talk. Considering that Fox plays the highly pivotal role of April O’Neil, the Turtles’ first human friend, and ostensibly the main character in the film, that’s kind of weird. Now, I think we all know that when Megan Fox opens her mouth, controversy sometimes follows, so maybe it’s for the best that we haven’t heard April talk. Until now. In the first clip from the film, April talks about the unusual situation she finds herself in concerning New York’s newest heroes, and Fox gives it all of her somewhat limited acting ability.
The clip, which was recently featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, features Fox’s April and Whoopi Goldberg as her boss at Channel 6 News, talking about April’s recent discovery that the city’s vigilante is actually four vigilantes who are all six-foot tall talking turtles who are ninjas and know karate. That sounds like something Megan Fox would say, doesn’t it? We’ve all been worried about how the Turtles and Shredder were going to turn out, maybe we should have been worried about Michael Bay and Co. turning April into a dumb blonde, without the blonde.
Sadly, the originating poster of this clip disabled the embed feature. However, you can watch the clip at the end of this Tonight Show interview with Goldberg. Thanks be to Screen Crush for finding the work around *wink*…
What do you Bastards think of Fox’s April (although I can already guess how you feel)? Sound off below.
