Batman-Arkham-Knight-2014-Latest-Wallpaper

Maybe it’s just me, but I only know a handful of people who have adopted to next generation gaming. I know more people who are instead holding off on getting an X-Box One or Playstation 4 until better gaming titles are released. With the Holidays around the corner, there happens to be a slew of big titles coming. Titles that will undoubtedly push a few fence sitters over to fresher gaming pastures.  One of the biggest, most anticipated, and outright siiiiick looking titles – Batman Arkham Knight – was arguably the sole reason to buy a new system before the end of 2014.  Well, unfortunately, those who were ready to throw their money at the nearest Gamestop will have to wait. How long? I don’t think you wanna know. But, hey, there is some good news too!

The climactic final chapter of Rocksteady’s Arkham series has been delayed until 2015. The game was originally due out on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 14 this year. No official reason was given for the 8 month delay.

Delays suck, yes, but if it means creating an even better product than what was coming in 2014, I can happily wait. And it also thins out the crowd of October releases – already saturated with great games. On the other hand though, I want it!

I said there was good news, didn’t I?

Along with the delay, two collectors editions were announced: the first being the Limited Edition comes with an 80 page art book containing concept art, a SteelBook, a Limited Edition DC Batman: Arkham Knight #0 Comic, three unique skins from The New 52 comics and a Batman Memorial Statue.

The second is The Batmobile Edition! It will only be available for console. It comes with all of the above along with a transformable Batmobile statue.

Whenever the game finally hits, it’ll surely be something to spend 60 bucks on. While Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Origins were impressive (the first two great, the last one only pretty good) Arkham Knight promises to truly capture what Rocksteady has been aiming for since the beginning: an open-world version of Batman that’ll knock the socks off of gamers – and make you feel like you are the Dark Knight. A massive landscape full of missions and bad guys and trouble around every corner. Hours and hours of gameplay, buildings to crawl, crooks to capture and gadgets to use. Oh, and yeah, Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Troy Baker (Joker) are scheduled back and we know that Harley Quinn is supposed to be a playable character this time around.

This game will be something special, no matter how long we have to wait.

Here check out the E-3 gameplay trailer again. Watch it over an over so that you can tease and torment yourself for the next 8 months or so.
