Kevin Smith likes to refer to the Frank Miller version of Batman from ‘The Dark Knight Returns’ as “Fat Batman.” So I found the image above to be very appropriate when referencing the term “Batman Heavy.” But in the meantime, let’s talk about this teaser trailer. Now that The Avengers have everyone talking, stepchild DC/Warner Bros. understandably wants in on some of that comic book movie chaos. All of a sudden there’s talk about a teaser/trailer starring our ‘World’s Finest.’ One actually appeared at San Diego Comic Con months ago. This one is reportedly starring Batman. In a Superman movie. Which is just ‘Justice League Lite.’ Check out the video, shot bootleg from inside an orgasmic geek’s armit.
Said to be attached to a new movie coming out this Winter, ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ is a teaser that has a lot of Batman in it, and that’s all we really know. This info provided by Batman On Film:
“According to a few of BOF’s BvS insiders, the first teaser trailer for the film is complete and ready to go. The overt hint I got from these folks is that the teaser will be revealed this Fall along with a November or December film release (and online, of course). I have no idea to which specific film it may be “attached,” but New Line’s (which is Warner Bros.’ sister company) THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES is being released on December 17, 2014.”
‘Battle Of Five Armies,’ huh? Good guess. I can go with that. Everybody’s going to see that flick and if I was WB, I’d totally glue it to my bread-and-butter movie trailer. My question is, how will it be different from what we have above? Longer? With more action instead of a lot of eyes glowing up? Maybe a Wonder Woman scene or two? A glimpse of Aquaman? Nope, I’m betting we’ll see a heavy amount of animosity between our two heroes, city shots galore, the face of an evil genius, and apparently lots and lots of Batman. And maybe an out-of-costume Robin.
Down for this? Looking forward to it? Sound off, Ben Affleck fans!
