In case you missed it (I don’t think anyone except the Amish missed this), Marvel took the Internet by storm today when they announced their movie slate from 2015 going into 2018. Amongst the expected releases – such as Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok, and Guardians of Galaxy 2 – Marvel threw a burning fastball special when they announced Black Panther, Captain Marvel, the Inhumans, and Avengers 3 & 4 Infinity War movies. Heads exploded around the Internet. Now we’ve got the Kevin Feige Q& A session held after the big presentation. One warning, there are spoilers in there.

Take a listen and met us on the other side to discuss:

Here’s a list of high points that Feige hit while taking questions today:

Captain America: Civil War:

Black Panther’s first appearance (Full costume) will be in Civil War.

Civil War is not about secret identities, it’s about who is in charge of said superheroes.

Black Panther:

They’ve discussed the movie with several Black Panther writers including Reggie Hudlin who was the creative force behind the Black Panther animated series.

Captain Marvel:

Carol Danvers is Captain Marvel in this adaptation.

Fans will see Inhuman Easter eggs sooner than one might expect.

Feige had some other details not directly related to those movies above:

Black Widow will be featured in Avengers movies, and will not be getting stand alone movie.

Black Panther’s nation of Wakanda will be in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Feige isn’t ready to talk about any Phase 4 projects yet .

Hulk is in all of the Avengers movies, but a standalone Hulk film is still in question.

He went on to stress that anything that wasn’t revealed today is just a rumor until things are worked out and officially announced. That includes the casting of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and all those Spider-Man rumors.

What was your Nerd-gasm moment of today’s announcements?

I’m betting that one of the big Inhuman Easter Eggs will be that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are Inhumans, since Marvel cannot call them mutants.
