Daniel Radcliffe was on Conan last night making the Horns celebrity interview show rounds and had some interesting anecdotes that included visiting the Harry Potter Museum near the Conan set and crashing J.J. Abrams Star Wars: The Force Awakens set at Pinewood Studios. What happens when Harry Potter runs into Han Solo on set?
Radcliffe isn’t the first celebrity to visit the Star Wars VII set, Simon Pegg, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Kevin Smith has all received invitations to come check things out, often resulting in another round of Star Wars VII casting and cameo rumors. Radcliffe on the other hand didn’t wait for an invitation, instead just popping by and walking on set. It’s no surprise that no one stopped him, the Harry Potter movies were shot on the same sets and a lot of the Harry Potter crew are now working on the Star Wars VII sets.
Here’s the video of Radcliffe talking about his Star Wars VII set and his run in with Harrison Ford:
If you let it run, the video above will transition to the clip from Conan where Radcliffe confesses to visiting the Harry Potter Museum, accidentally drinking antifreeze, and the worst movie idea ever pitched to him.
Back to the Star Wars VII visit. How surreal would it be to sit in the Millenium Falcon with Harrison Ford and chat? I imagine the charity auction with that as the prize would do quite well. Radcliffe mentions that he felt Harrison Ford’s excitement about the new Star Wars movie. If Harrison is actually excited about it, then there must be some fantastic things going on.
Now we wait and see how many other outlets start cranking out Radcliffe Star Wars: The Force Awakens cameo rumors.
