Michael Douglas took to Facebook yesterday to announce that he has finished filming all the Hank Pym scenes in Peyton Reed‘s upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Ant-Man. Douglas, being the class act that his is, took that moment to also recognize and celebrate his long time friend and stuntman/stand-in Mike Runyard. There’s a small spoiler hidden in that picture, so stop here if you don’t want to know anything. *Insert Spoiler Warning Here. Otherwise, click away!
Finished my last days on Ant-Man this weekend. Had a great time, a new experience with all these blue screens!
Man, those two do look-alike all made up and in the same clothes. If you’re still asking yourself where that spoiler is? Check out the bullet hole in their right shoulders. Hank Pym gets shot at some point in the movie. Although the wounds placement makes it look like it isn’t a life threatening wound, Pym must be in his 60’s or early 70’s so any gunshot wound is serious. At that age he won’t be shrugging that one off so quickly.
These are some photos of myself and Mike Runyard, my stuntman and golfing buddy for the for the last 26 years, including films like Black Rain and The Game.
Douglas also posted this picture of the Pym Company Logo:
Those must be the Pym Particles. I’m hopeful that Reed delivers a great Marvel movie. It would suck if he took all the blame for a lack luster performance at the box office after the whole Edgar Wright departure debacle.
Starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Evangeline Lilly, David Dastmalchian, Michael Pena, Bobby Cannavale, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, Wood Harris, John Slattery and Gregg Turkington with T.I. (aka Clifford Harris Jr.) , Ant-Man hits theater screens on July 17th, 2015.
