Yesterday we were treated to a Guardians of the Galaxy dance-off clip between Star-Lord and Ronan The Accuser, which was to decide the fate of the world ( …this could have worked as an alternate ending, no?). That scene was basically a set-up for Dave Batista (Drax the Destroyer) according to James Gunn. You can see how he is caught off guard as he starts to express a confused – ‘what-the-hell-is-going-on’– type grin. Not only is this a wonderful clip, but it also invites us – the viewers – to vicariously feed off of the good vibes they obviously had whilst filming the movie. The chemistry is great in the film, and this must of been one of the many elements, that when mixed together, produced a gem of a film. You can view the clip again here, …and “Dance-off”
Well, we have now learned that this will be included in a four minute gag-reel that will be included on the Blu-ray and DVD release. Unfortunately (or fortunately …take you pick!), it has made its way online and it is hard not to be tempted to watch the magical four minute wonder (we say this as we want good content for our buck). Thus, some things would be nice as a surprise when we get our hands on the disk. However, in this day and age it’s near impossible to avoid the unavoidable if one is an avid internet surfer. Anyway, whether you are intending to wait (which we highly doubt), or you want to see it in all its four minute glory, then you can check it out here. It’s an epic four minutes that you are bound to love, and it’s packed with all kinds of fun, including a fully rendered gag clip featuring Rocket Racoon and Groot. Check it out below:
The Blue-ray and DVD will be released December 9th.
