Going by the new image that has just been released on the interweb, it looks like Chris Pratt has made a couple of new friends on the set of Jurassic World. With the recent release of the first full trailer for Jurassic World, it appears that Pratt has the deadly velociraptors trained like a litter of domesticated house cats – all cute, cuddly and docile to boot. In an interview, Colin Trevorrow recently clarified the relationship between Pratt’s character, Owen, and the raptors.
Pratt comes across as one of those easy going guys that you could go grab a beer with, so it’s not exactly surprising that he has the ability to domesticate – what are usually deemed as – nippy little sweeties. But, as it turns out… not all is as it appears folks – as Trevorrow clarified in an interview that Chris Pratt (Owen), and the raptors, are not actually friends at all, adding that, “These animals are nasty and dangerous and they’ll bite your head off if you make the wrong move.”
Although Treverrow has confirmed that the raptors are far from domesticated, he posted this new image (see below), with Owen and the raptor looking awfully cosy together. Treverrow posted the image with a tweet that read:
“Happy Holidays from the editing room. Do not try this at home.”
The image is pretty neat, and I hope I’m not the only one that thinks Pratt’s outfit is a mash-up of all the iconic characters played by Harrison Ford (…and by “all,” I mean a mix between Indiana Jones and Han Solo, with a tiny hint of Rick Deckard mixed in for good measure) . He is just missing the long three-quartre-length jacket that Deckard rocks so well in Blade Runner.
What do you think fellow nerd enthusiasts? …you liking the look?
Guess we will need to wait and find out just how well-trained these creatures actually are when Jurassic World is released on June 12, 2015.
