After the dust settled from the NFL playoff games over the weekend, Seattle Seahawks super-fan Chris Pratt (Parks & Rec, Guardians of the Galaxy) and Patriots super-fan Chris Evans (Captain America: The First Avenger, Snow Piercer) started up some Twitter banter which quickly lead to an all out Superbowl Super Hero Civil War! It’s on y’all, and to the victor belongs the spoils. What could these two Hollywood Super Heroes be wagering?
It all started with a tweet from Evans to Pratt in which Pratt came back firing all his witty comeback thrusters:

Evans was up for a little tussle and tweeted back:
Evans answered Pratt’s challenge with one of his own and we all know that Pratt couldn’t leave it at that. He channeled a little Burt Macklin and slipped in a reference to the football deflation scandal that blossomed when 11 of the 12 footballs used in the Patriots/Colts game turned out to be deflated and not up to the NFL required inflation. A deflated ball is easier to throw and catch in rainy conditions. It rained almost the entire game.
@ChrisEvans Humiliate my Seahawks? Maybe talk to Brady about deflating your expectations. BOOM! (legion of) You’re on sucka.
So the stage was set for the Superbowl Civil War Throw-down with both actors favorite charities benefiting from a little fun post game loser humiliation. It wouldn’t surprise me if both actors, win or lose pay off on the bet and show up for each others respective charitable sites.
This is much better than the usual Governors bets we get when a big sporting event takes place.
