Suave, witty, handsome agent? Check. Incredibly attractive woman in the mix? Check. No Nonsense Russian agent? Check. Animosity between the two agents that eventually, grudgingly, becomes respect and then friendship? Check. Guns and special gadgets? Check. Crazy 60’s fashion? Check. Yep it’s all there in Guy Richie‘s The Man From U.N.C.L.E. trailer, everything you need to enjoy a movie going experience while you work your way through that super-sized buttered popcorn tub. Why not take a look?

Some of you might be wondering what U.N.C.L.E. stands for and that is actually an interesting story. Originally the writers of the show didn’t have one. It was a late addition to the first episode, more like today’s post credits scenes, but this time slipped into the end of the title sequence.

We wish to thank the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement without whose assistance this program would not be possible.

That’s the official movie poster above that you’ll see in theater lobbies. Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) stars as Napoleon Solo along with Arnie Hammer (The Lone Ranger) as Illya Kuryakin and Alicia Vikander (Seventh Son) as Gaby Teller. Here’s the movie’s synopsis:

Forced to put aside longstanding hostilities, the two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology. The duo’s only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find him and prevent a worldwide catastrophe.

The movie looks to be a fun ride, and could lead to others in the franchise. It should certainly get some costume nod if nothing else. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. hits theater screens August 14th, 2015. Will you be in a theater seat that opening weekend?
