We’re all waiting anxiously for Netflix and Marvel‘s new Daredevil series to hit on April 10th and you can be sure that in the time remaining that Marvel will be kicking the promotional machine into high gear. Today’s little tidbit came to us in the form of a tweet, with a nice tie in to Marvel’s other Television show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. What’s the connection?
Here’s the tweet:

Yep, Crusher Creel, who later becomes the Absorbing Man is making an appearance in Daredevil.
Now this could just be a nice little Marvel Easter egg for fans, but it also could be hinting at an appearance on Daredevil by Brian Patrick Wade as the Absorbing Man. The first episode of Daredevil is titled Into The Ring, which should refer to Matt Murdock’s father who was known as Battlin’ Jack Murdock in the boxing ring. Perhaps there’s some old history between Creel and Murdock’s father that will bring Creel back into the picture, but this time he’ll have his incredible absorbing powers at his disposal.
Now the last time we saw Creel on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. he was in the custody of General Talbot. Perhaps that changes somehow, either he breaks out, or is released by Talbot or the Government.
What do you think, is this just an Easter Egg or does it signal the freedom of Absorbing Man?
Daredevil has fought the Absorbing man in the comics, but then again who hasn’t he fought at one time or another?
