Oh my! What the…?! Oh boy. That in a nutshell is the new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. One of the most anticipated movies of the year gets even more anticipated with each passing trailer, this latest one being the third we’ve seen so far. If memory serves, this was supposed to premiere sometime during Thursday’s airing of the new ABC series American Crime (Yay, corporate synergy!), but like all things concerning The Avengers, the awesomeness of the new footage was too tremendous to contained by a silly thing like “official release dates.” So what can be expected as soon as you press play on the below video? Why ruin the surprise?
Now to show you something… Beautiful.
So let’s break it down. We get some insight into Ultron’s (James Spader) origins. We get some Avengers banter. We get another stirring speech about heroism from Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). We get to see Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) use their powers against the Avengers. We see a lot of action. We see Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) come very close to getting a different kind of action from Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). And… Is that? At the end? Yes, it’s the first appearance of Vision (Paul Bettany) beyond being a darkness shrouded silhouette in the corner of a poster.
You want more analysis? To bad! I’m going to watch it again right now. And so should you!
Avengers: Age of Ultron arrives to rule us all in less that two months time, on May 1.
