Man, when things get rolling in Hollywood, they sure get rolling! It’s only been about seven months since 20th Century Fox announced that they would be moving forward with a new Deadpool movie with Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as the Merc with a Mouth. Now, thanks to a couple of tweets from the stars of the new film, we have confirmation that Deadpool is officially filming.
Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin, who will be playing Deadpool and Vanessa, respectively, in the new film, each shared a nice little tease via Twitter yesterday:

There really isn’t anything too exciting in either image, per se, but we do get a look at the new logo and it is great to know that the cameras are finally rolling on the flick.
Many of us have done our best to forget the absolutely disrespectful way that Deadpool was handled during his last time on screen but here’s a quick reminder.
Yes. In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, they actually took the mouth away from the Merc with a Mouth. My god, I hope someone was fired for that. Wade Wilson, however, Deadpool’s alter ego prior to the scarification, was played brilliantly by Reynolds and many fans of the comic book character couldn’t see anyone else stepping into the role, including Reynolds himself. Last year, test footage that was “accidentally leaked” managed to set the internet on fire and did so well that it jumpstarted production on the movie, which had been in development hell since around 2009. If you haven’t seen that awesome footage yet, now is as good a time as any. Hey, better late than never, right?
Deadpool hits the big screen on February 12, 2016.
