Suicide Squad director David Ayer Tweeted the picture above after the casts first script read through. Curiously absent is Jared Leto. Did he snap the picture or was he absent for another reason? Let that question bounce around your head for a minute while we look at who is in the picture and what roles they will be playing.

Leto isn’t the only cast member missing from the picture, Scott Eastwood and Ray Olubowale weren’t there either. There are a couple of new faces in there as well, Ike Barinholtz, Adam Beach, and Jim Parrack. Their roles haven’t been announced yet.
From left to right, the photo includes:
In the back row:
Director David Ayer, Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jay Hernandez, Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Adam Beach, Jim Parrack, and Ike Barinholtz.
In the front row:
Will Smith (Deadshot), Karen Fukuhara (possibly playing Plastique), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), and Cara Delevingne (Enchantress).
Now that we know who’s who at the script read through, what about those new faces? While it is all unconfirmed many believe that Jim Parrack will be playing Deathstroke after negotiations fell apart for Joe Manganiello, who was just announced as taking a role in Pee Wee’s Big Holiday.
Adam Beach is believed to be playing Raven, a Thuggee assassin who worships Kali, the Indian goddess of death. He kills in her honor.
Some are saying that Ike Barinholtz will play Dr. Hugo Strange. It’s kind of a long shot, but would be interesting to see that character on the big screen.
