If you’re a nerd of a certain age, and spent your time indoors (let’s face it, most of us did), then you’ll remember being held up in front of a gleaming glow of computer screen playing the graphic adventure game Kings Quest widely considered a classic series from the golden era of adventure games. Fans of the classic King’s Quest series have been clamoring for a new release for a long time. It’s time to rejoice – a revival this way comes!

The revival of the point-and-click adventure series was announced back in December, but it’s the recently revealed voice cast that will have you in a jolly:

Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd is on board to voice old King Graham. Next, Zelda Williams voicing Amaya Blackstone, Then, good old Wallace Shawn, otherwise known as Vizzini from The Princess Bride as Manny, who’s described as “the clever one”.

Also along for the ride are Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants) as a wily old merchant and Josh Keaton (Starcraft 2The Spectacular Spider-Man) as King Graham’s younger self.

You’ll want to check out the video on Polygon to see these voice actors bring the cast to life.

So much potential! I hope they do it well. Would be nice to have a good KQ again.

What do you think of the voicecast? What found memories do you have in playing this series? What do you hope to see in the games revival? Tell us.
