The X-Files revival is currently shooting in Vancouver with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, but there’s also a team working in Ashcroft. Some set pictures from the Ashcroft shoot show us some interesting things that many fans of the show might be happy to see. Mainly because those pictures may tie up some loose ends from the series finale. Here’s your SPOILER WARNING. If you don’t want to know more than bail out now. The rest of you go ahead and make your way to the plane’s cabin door, adjust your parachute straps, and make the jump.

You might remember that when the series ended way back in 2002, Fox and Mulder had just discovered the existence of massive alien invasion that was scheduled to kick off on December 22nd 2012. Now we haven’t seen and signs of an alien occupation in the on set stuff we’ve gotten a look at so far, or the casting for that matter, so we could just assume that the pair stopped or sidetracked the invasion somehow.
Skip forward to the on set photos coming out of Ashcroft and you can see that there may be a connection to that finale plot line.
SPOILER ALERT: The truth is out there… or I should say in Ashcroft! That’s a crash landed UFO set being built for the reboot of X-Files. I want to believe!
Now this could be a flashback type scene, or perhaps some of the aliens that attacked were not completely destroyed and are now just be discovered by the rest of the world. We’ll find out when The X-Files 6-episode mini-series begins airing on Fox January 24th, 2016.
