More bad news from the “Bad-Ass Englishmen Who Won WWII and Went on to Win Hollywood” front. Just a week after Christopher Lee‘s passing, CNN reported that Patrick Macnee passed today. He was 93.

Older Bastards will remember Macnee as the bowler-wearing secret agent John Steed in the television show The Avengers in the 1960s, and had a role in the 1998 Ralph Fiennes/Uma Thurman movie of the same name. Most people would recognize his voice as the narrator of the original Battlestar Galactica opening credits. Others knew him as record mogul Sir Denis Eton-Hogg from 1984’s This is Spinal Tap.
