First Look At Spider-Man’s New Costume?

civil-war

Are your ears still ringing from the cheers heard around the world once Marvel and Sony announced Spider-Man would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe?  It is absolutey understandable if they are.  After years of declining box office receipts, Sony finally considered The Amazing Spider-Man 2 the last straw and because The Mouse gets what The Mouse wants, a deal was worked out in which Spidey would finally join Captain America et al. While the world waits with bated breath for the newest, and what some would consider the truest, incarnation of the character, a Twitter account seems to be dropping images that just may include our first look at Spider-Man’s suit, which fans will finally see on screen in Captain America: Civil War.

Spidey

As with anything you see on the interwebs, until this information is confirmed, it’s best to take it with a dash of salt.

A recently created Twitter account seems to have some insider information and would love you to believe that the information is coming straight from The Russo Brothers, the filmmakers behind Civil War.  Could it really be them? Sure, why not? Is it likely? Just about as likely as Sony giving Spidey back to Marvel, so take that as you will.

Alright, let’s get to the goods!

First, let’s take a look at this cool lens.

Alright, cool, looks like maybe Spidey will be getting a cool upgrade for Civil War, if this is legit.  This lens could either be cosmetic, to display Spider-Man’s emotions through his mask, or practical, as a telescopic or night vision lens that will be used in the film.  Then again, it could just be an unused prop from Sony’s scrapped Sinister Six project. Or, simply a cosplayer with some skills.  Onto the next photo!

Well, that definitely looks like it could be part of a Spider-Man suit, for sure! Or, a basketball, maybe.  Or, simply a cosplayer with some skills.  I’m sure you see where I am going with this.

Could this be a portion of what we will see on screen when Civil War hits screens on May 6, 2016? Sure, but is it a guarantee? Only time will tell.

The Twitter account has been dropping some other teaser images that you can view here.  Just make sure to keep in mind that getting excited at this point may not be the smartest course of action.

Do you think these photos are legit?  Are you Team Cap or Team Stark?
