Empire Magazine recently debuted the cover of its upcoming September 2015 issue, featuring the likes of Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight and Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel as they’ll appear in Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. If the cover hasn’t motivated you to drop $10.00 on the mag, Empire has just released a new batch of photos from its multi-page article. The photos give us a better look at The Dark Knight, Supes and a rather hip looking Lex Luthor.
You know shits about to get serious when Batman uses his own Bat signal. And how about that dilapidated dwelling Superman is standing idly in… the mag describes it as “the burnt-out ruins of Wayne Manor.” Gotta wonder what the hell Bruce Wayne is paying Alfred for if he can’t keeping the Wayne home tidy.
Meanwhile, Jesse Eisenberg‘s Lex Luthor looks like he should have been the villain in HBO’s Silicone Valley. Regardless of his golden locks and hipster clothing, I still think Eisenberg will be the films biggest surprise of all. Eisenberg can make the “smartest person in the room” thing work.
Between the trailer, posters, and images I still have no idea how this movie will land and come across. It looks like 3 movies in one. I’m nervous as hell that its going to be an amalgamation of unfocused ideas and themes. The characters do look pretty great though, and I am sure we are in store for an epic showdown.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25, 2016.
