On select nights from September 18th through November 1st, 2015 something spooky happens at Universal Studios theme parks. No, we’re not talking about long lines at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Universal turns into a scream park, known for the last 20 years as “Halloween Horror Nights” – with haunted houses and horrifying mutants, monsters and maniacs abound.

Now a new and familiar terror has been added to the horror nights lineup, in Michael Myers from the cult-classic horror film franchise Halloween.

Universal already has quite the line-up this year with Crimson Peak maze based on Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming horror movie, as well as an all new horror maze based on The Insidious film franchise. Now cult horror icon Michael Meyers will scare guests at this years Horror Nights.

Comes Home! Guests will have the sensation of stepping through the silver screen directly into unsettling and shocking film scenes as they navigate their way through Haddonfield, adorned in classic Halloween décor on a similar Halloween night in 1963. Meyer’s abandoned family home and its blood-splattered walls, where the violent murder took place, will set the stage for a new crime scene as guests attempt to evade the relentless killer–armed with his signature bloodstained knife.

Only 2 things to be bummed out about. 1) Michael Meyers attraction will only be at Universal Hollywood (not Orlando) and 2) the mask they have on him looks very little like the one used in the original film. At least it’s not the Rob Zombie’s Halloween, that would have sucked.

Here’s the official press release from Universal:
