Sure, August isn’t even half over yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look ahead to the fall. Or December for that matter. Of course, it’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens that we all want to hear about, see footage from, and digest every morsel about, and as luck would have it, Entertainment Weekly‘s Fall Movie Preview arrives this week to fill that gaping void in new Star Wars news that just wasn’t filled by that two seconds of the new footage from the international trailer. Are we spoiled? Absolutely. Do we want more? You’re gosh darn right we do! So get ready for some cool new photos from the biggest film yet to be released in 2015.
First up, check out this cover featuring Kylo Ren, the Sith character played by Adam Driver. According to EW, they will reveal in the new issue whether “Kylo Ren” is the character’s real name, and whether or not he has a mysterious connection to Darth Vader. No word on if director J.J. Abrams reveals who pimped out the hilt of his lightsaber though.
But we’ve already seen a lot of that guy. Wanna see something new? Well, amongst the new images includes shots of new cast members like X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), First Order leader General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson), and Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), as well as perennial Star Wars castmates C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and R2-D2 (Kenny Baker). There’s also a behind the scenes shot of Abrams collaberating with co-screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan. Check out the gallery below.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is in theaters everywhere on December 18.
