Well, there comes a time when we all have to face the fact that we’re growing up. But this…this…madness has now happened.  The Goonies house (aka Mike and Brand’s house, for the uninitiated) has been closed off to the public.

According to the city of Astoria, the house would receive anywhere from 1200 to 1500 visitors a day this summer. Naturally, in any crowd sort of situation, there are always some jerk-offs who ruin the whole experience. Astoria City Councilman Russ Warr sympathized with the owner on her decision:

Most {of the visitors} are polite, some are not. They park on ‘no-parking’ zones, they park on sidewalks, they relieve their dogs on their lawns.

So there were some assholes (literally) who just had to go and ruin someone’s nostalgic pilgrimage. Where the hell was Sloth when you needed him? No word on whether these dicks were related to the Fratellis, but only time will tell.
