While doing a panel at Wizard World Chicago over the weekend, fan favorite Nathan Fillion was asked which superhero he’s like to play on the big screen. Remember that he’s dipped one foot into Marvel‘s Cinematic Universe in Guardians of the Galaxy and the other in DC‘s animated features voicing Green Lantern, so there is a slew of characters for him to choose from. Which did he pick?Let’s hear it from the man himself:
I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold. That’s kind of my niche… show-offy, vain. I think I could handle that… not too bright.
My question would be: Who would play opposite him as Blue Beetle, Alan Tudyk? Was there another hero if Booster didn’t work out?
I think Ambush Bug. Remember that guy? Little bit off his rocker. You’d never see my face. But I think Greatest American Hero is due for a reboot.
Now Ambush Bug, as much as we all love him, would only be a supporting/cameo type role for Fillion. While it would be fun to see, I think Booster Gold would be the better choice. Now The Greatest American Hero might be interesting, but I see Fillion as FBI agent Bill Maxwell more than the mild-mannered high-school teacher Ralph Hinkley.
More importantly, how do we go about getting Summer Glau into that She-Ra role for a feature film?
